Recent purchase, lots to do!! very thirsty 2 stroke engine. We have put "Rion" at Ealing sailing club and have been lucky to get a temporary quayside berth until we go on the mud! Since we bought her we have had a test locally, i.e. the Hamble and a stopover at Newport Isle of Wight. The Solent was comfortable on the way out but rather lumpy on the way back. Excitement was provided by me stopping to refuel (75hp 2 stroke) level with "Prince Consort" on the way out and trapping the fuel hose under the fuel storage locker. this resulted in an almost immediate engine stop and fail to re-start. negotiating the buoy by going astern on the start key gave me enough time to pull out the fuel tank again and realise that the fuel line had been kinked when the tank was replaced after refuelling. Tank correctly replaced Newport beckoned.
